The PTDF Nigeria Scholarship Scheme is a yearly program for MSc and PhD courses. Required Documents for PTDF Nigeria Scholarship 2025

When applying for the 2024 PTDF Scholarships, you will need to submit the following documents:

  • Complete the Application Form.
  • Evidence of statement of WAEC/SSCE/NECO results with at least 5 credits, including English Language and Mathematics (no more than two sittings, with the first sitting result uploaded).
  • Letter of admission to the university.
  • First-year academic transcript(s) signed and stamped by the HOD/Exams Officer or other authorized individuals.
  • Certificate of Indigeneity (Evidence of State of Origin and Local Government)
  • Personal statement of at least 300 words expressing the reasons for pursuing the degree of study.

Postgraduate Applicants

2024 PTDF Nigeria Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the undergraduate and postgraduate PTDF scholarships, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Undergraduate applicants

  • Applicants must be full-time students attending any of Nigeria’s Federal Universities.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled at the 200 level of study.
  • The course of study should be relevant to the oil and gas business.
  • Have 5 credits from WAEC/SSCE/NECO, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • All undergraduate applicants must have a valid admission letter to the university.
  • Have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 on a scale of 5, or 3.0 on a scale of 4, which is equivalent to 2.2 in the first year.
  • Transcripts for the first year of study must be submitted by applicants; these must be signed and stamped by the HOD, the exams officer, or another authorized university employee.

Postgraduate Applicants

  • Candidates must have a letter of full-time admission to one of Nigeria’s Federal Universities.
  • at least a second-class lower (2.2) in an area linked to management or oil and gas.
  • a second-degree qualification in a field relevant to oil and gas with at least some value.
  • At least five credits in WAEC, SSCE, or NECO results must be obtained; the two results must come before the first degree, and there can be no more than two sittings.
  • Letter of exemption or certificate from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
  • Certificate of Indigeneity (proof of local government and state of origin).
  • For master’s degree applicants, a personal statement of at least 1000 words outlining the motivations for the course of study is required.
